i love a fine bag and i purchase a new one every five years or so. three years ago it was all about the fendi peek-a-boo. now…miss evelyne is on my short list. i’m admittently an old school ‘pocket book type’. not usually drawn to so casual a bag…but i’ve seen her slung on some very chic shoulders. long thick strap. easy. and that perforated logo…wear it toward the body. subtle. scrumptious. genius.

a recent addition to my repertoire. my select. extravagance russe. just the right amount of amber and mystery and the spirit of one of my favorite (s)heroes. diana. the original tres chic ‘jolie laide’.

kara is known primarily for her thought provoking silhouettes evocative of the art of the 1800s. i scored a commemorative jug from her controversial 2014 installation at brooklyn’s domino sugar factory. utterly provacative. a –not so subtle– subtlety.

monsieur denoit. french. perfection. bringing interior design that strikes the perfect balance between minimal and max. the perfect layering of furnishings that provide depth of design. never too antique. never too contemporary. just right. and did i mention his absolute mastery in the subtle mix of the neutral — color. material. texture. pattern. so chic.
