kehinde wiley is best known for his large scale oil paintings. i prefer his small sculptures. informed by the classical renaissance. clothed in hoodies or sports jerseys. tongue in cheek. quintessentially urban and very cool.
Art – James Nares
james nares’ art is positively wizard. he uses an over-sized calligraphy brush as magic wand. energetic monochromatic movement in one fell swoop and swish. why didn’t i think of that.
Puppy – Jeff Koons
far and away my favorite piece from jeff koons. i’ve coveted this vase for years. who doesn’t love a puppy? terminally cute.
Nuit de Noel – Happy Club 1963 – Sidibe
