i had the pleasure of meeting david adjaye a couple years ago. i am in awe of his talent. this amazing tanzanian architect has designed what will be the last of the smithsonian museums on the mall in washington dc. fittingly, it is the national museum of african american history and culture due to be completed and dedicated before president obama leaves office.

niagara is nice. been there. done that. but l think victoria falls has her beaten for pure awe-inspiration. located on the border of zimbabwe and zambia. one of the seven natural wonders of the world…and firmly placed on my bucket list.
architectural masterpiece. western pennsylvania. my twenty-first century version would have higher ceilings.
ah…the windy city. third largest in the u.s.a. possessing neither the bustle of new york in the east, nor the laid-back of los angeles in the west. it’s midwest and just right. the antithesis of flashy, but just as fabulous. come on baby don’t you wanna go….sweet home chicago.
