new york fashion week is upon us…
if you read the byline of every other chic article, in every other chic magazine, you’ll note many are written by lynn yaeger. a contributing vogue fashion editor and possessor of fierce personal style.



i once ran into her in the most mundane of places…neiman marcus.
ms. yaeger marches to her own fashion drummer. she is unique. and what could possibly be more chic?
as much as my architectural heroes of the 80s and 90s were richard meier and shelton-mindel associates, i have switched my allegiance to deborah berke and annabelle selldorf. the twenty-first century architectural world is finally ready to receive these two uber talented ladies. they play with the big boys and look fabulous while doing so.

haitian-italian fashion designer stella jean (pronounced john) is making me re-think my basic black monochromatic world. there is nary a print in my wardrobe, but the chic ms. jean gives me cause for reconsideration.
i first noticed her two years ago, but this spring i may finally take the plunge. a colorful cultural-inspired print skirt teamed with a–carolina herrara inspired–white shirt. basta!
